<p>In the first half of 2026, Indian startups raised $7.2 billion. Sounds like a boom. But those same six months saw only 652 funding rounds — down from over 1,100 in H1 2025. The math is brutal: more total capital flowing into the ecosystem, but 43% fewer founders getting any of it.</p> <p>Three deals — CRED at ₹7,500 crore ($900M), Nxtra at ₹5,900 crore ($710M), and Neysa at ₹5,000 crore ($600M) — accounted for nearly a third of all capital deployed in six months.
