Who we are.

AletheiaAI is operated by Berries Financial Advisory Services, registered in India at Flat 16, Malad Satikar CHS Ltd, Near Police Station, Malad West, Mumbai Suburban, Maharashtra 400064. We are the data fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what your rights are. It applies to all visitors and users of aletheiaai.in and related services.

What data we collect.

  • Email address and account data: collected when you sign in, join the waitlist, submit a pitch for the Bollywood Roast, or subscribe to our newsletter. This includes sign-in timestamps and any preferences you set.
  • Waitlist data: your email address and the referral code used (if any) when you join the launch waitlist at aletheiaai.in/launch.
  • Pitch deck and idea submissions: the content of your pitch deck (PDF, Google Drive link, or URL) or the idea text you enter, processed solely to generate your roast and analysis. Deck files are deleted within 24 hours of delivery. Idea text is never stored after processing.
  • Analysis output: structured output including scores, verdicts, roast lines, Bollywood character responses, fund matches, and improvement suggestions. Retained for up to 12 months.
  • Investor thesis profile: sectors, stages, cheque size, geography, and deal-breaker conditions entered during investor onboarding. Used to score decks against your thesis.
  • Calibration records (investors): your actual deal decisions (passed, backed, led, watching) and publicly available outcome signals checked at the 12-month mark.
  • Payment metadata: Razorpay payment ID, order ID, amount, and status. We never receive or store your card number, CVV, or bank details. Those go directly to Razorpay.
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns. Used to improve the product. Not sold or shared with advertisers.
  • Sponsor inquiry data: if you submit a sponsorship inquiry, we collect your company name, contact name, designation, email, and optional phone number and message.

Why we collect it.

We collect and use your data for the following purposes:

  • To deliver the pitch analysis, roast, and fundability scoring service.
  • To operate the waitlist and notify you when the platform launches.
  • To process payments for paid features via Razorpay.
  • To send transactional emails: sign-in codes, analysis results, contest updates, and platform announcements.
  • To send our weekly newsletter, Aletheia Insights, if you subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To improve the platform by understanding how features are used.
  • To respond to sponsor inquiries.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for their advertising purposes.

Advertising — LinkedIn.

We run advertising campaigns on LinkedIn to reach founders and investors in India. As part of these campaigns:

  • We may use the LinkedIn Insight Tag on our website. This allows LinkedIn to show our ads to people who have visited aletheiaai.in and to measure ad performance. LinkedIn collects data including IP address, device, and page views for this purpose. This data is governed by LinkedIn’s Privacy Policy.
  • We do not share your personal data (email, deck content, or analysis output) with LinkedIn for targeting purposes.
  • To opt out of LinkedIn retargeting, visit your LinkedIn ad settings.

Sub-processors who handle your data.

  • Convex (US/EU): application database and backend infrastructure.
  • Anthropic (US): the AI model that powers the Bollywood Roast and pitch analysis. Data is sent on a per-request basis only. Anthropic does not train on data submitted via their API and operates a zero-data-retention policy on API traffic.
  • Resend (US): transactional email delivery for OTPs, analysis results, contest emails, and newsletters.
  • Razorpay (India): payment processing. Card details go directly to Razorpay and never pass through our servers.
  • Vercel (US): website hosting and edge delivery.
  • LinkedIn (US): advertising platform. See the Advertising section above.

We do not share your data with anyone outside this list.

Public sharing — opt-in only.

Verdicts, roast results, and scores are private by default. If you choose to share your result using the share link, only the information you choose to share (score, verdict, roast lines) is visible to the recipient. Your email address is never displayed publicly.

Raise Ready engagement details are private and never shared publicly.

How long we keep your data.

  • Deck files: deleted within 24 hours of verdict delivery.
  • Idea text: never stored after processing.
  • Roast and analysis output: retained for up to 12 months.
  • Waitlist entries: retained until the waitlist closes or you request deletion.
  • Active accounts: retained as long as the account exists, plus 18 months after the last sign-in.
  • Closed accounts: deleted within 30 days of a closure request, except payment records which are retained for 7 years under Indian tax law.
  • Newsletter subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe.

Your rights under the DPDP Act.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request erasure of your data (subject to the 7-year tax-record exception).
  • Withdraw consent for processing at any time.
  • Nominate a representative to exercise your rights on your behalf.
  • Raise a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

Cookies.

We use a single session cookie for authentication. We do not use third-party behavioural tracking cookies or session-replay tools. If you use LinkedIn and visit our site, LinkedIn may set cookies as part of the Insight Tag. You can manage those via your LinkedIn ad settings or browser cookie controls.

Data security.

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted to engineers actively maintaining the service. We will notify affected users within 72 hours of any confirmed data breach.

Grievance Officer.

As required by the IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules 2021 and the DPDP Act 2023, our Grievance Officer is Amit Tyagi, reachable at [email protected] and +91 74001 60348. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within 15 days.

Changes to this policy.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be emailed to your registered address at least 7 days before taking effect. Minor updates (clarifications, typo fixes) will be reflected in the "Last revised" date above without separate notice.
