It is an infrastructure problem: India has 7 million truck operators, none of whom have reliable access to credit, insurance, or maintenance services that would allow them to professionalise. The startup that solves this supply-side problem owns the logistics sector.

Delhivery built a ₹20,000 crore company not by building better logistics software but by building operational density — the number of shipments per route per day — that allows it to price below any regional competitor while maintaining service quality. Operational density is not replicable by an app.

The ₹2 lakh crore infrastructure opportunity in Indian logistics is in the layers below the consumer interface: warehousing networks, cold chain infrastructure, cross-docking facilities, and the financial infrastructure (working capital, insurance, credit) that allows logistics operators to professionalise. None of these are app problems.
