Pitch Deck

A pitch deck is a presentation — typically 10–15 slides — that founders use to communicate their startup's story, market opportunity, traction, team, and investment ask to potential investors. It's the primary marketing document for fundraising.

Standard pitch deck structure: Problem → Solution → Market (TAM/SAM/SOM) → Product → Traction → Business Model → Competition → Team → Financial Projections → Ask. The sequence matters — investors decide in the first 3–5 slides whether to keep reading.

The deck's job is not to close the investor — it's to get the first meeting. A pitch deck that prompts a meeting request is successful, regardless of how much content is packed in. Most failed decks fail by telling too much, not too little.
